Within a year she made her first trip to New York and soon after arriving, landed the cover of Allure magazine. Since then, she has worked with American and international editions of Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire and i-D, among other magazines and has been on cover to Flare, Elle, Glamour, Allure, Seventeen, Self and Lucky. Her campaigns have included The Gap, Banana Republic, Versus, Fruit of the Loom, Abercrombie and Fitch, Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy Hilfiger 'Tommy Girl' fragrance, Azzaro pour Homme fragance, Bloomingdales, Bongo, Caroll, Esprit International, Finesse, Loise Féraud Contraire, Mac & Jac, Nordstrom, Paco Rabanne, Redken, Sportmax, and Spiegel. She has walk down the catwalk for designers like, Angela Missoni, Barbara Bui, Byblos, Chloé, Costume National, Paco Rabanne, Gieffeffe, Balenciaga and Victoria's Secret. In 1998, Leilani landed the featured role of Resin in the "Intern", a Michael Lange film. Soon after, San Francisco-based band Third Eye Blind chose Leilani for the role of the spirited girlfriend of the lead singer in their video for "Deep Inside of You". Early in 2000, Peter Lindbergh chose her to shoot with Brad Pitt for the Damiani Jewelry campaign. Images of Leilani appear in Pamela Hanson's book "Girls", and she has also been on the cover of Hole's breakthrough CD "Live Through This". Leilani has been the subject of a half-hour instalment of Model, the E! Entertainment Television series devoted to highlighting the industry's stars. Leilani is currently the President and Founder of "Women For The World", bringing together her peers to spotlight and aid in some of the biggest educational issues facing the world. Lives with her husband, Jack Luber (September 1998-present), in Hawaii.
