KingSupra Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 http://media.ps3.ign.com/articles/614/614619/imgs_1.htmlcheck it out, it looks pretty sleek and hi tech-ish. Quote
chiva474128 Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I've seen the pictures...I think it looks really good. The controller looks very disaapointing. Quote
KingSupra Posted May 17, 2005 Author Posted May 17, 2005 yea, i wish they could stick with the old design. but i doubt it since dualshock sued sony . Quote
chiva474128 Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 But isn't Dualshock the rumble technology?? If so, they could have kept the design... It looks like a batarang from the Batman movies. Quote
Capt Snow Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Controller is definitely shitty, everything else looks damn good. I am pleased. Can't wait to see the E3 coverage on G4 18-20th. Quote
Neo52285 Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 still better the the xbox controllers....i hate thick controllers....fuck the first xbox controller looked like a dreamcast controller and was just as huge Quote
Guest quasicartes Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 But isn't Dualshock the rumble technology?? If so, they could have kept the design...It looks like a batarang from the Batman movies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why is the controller designed like a battarang? Battarang are meant to be thrown, not meant to be held for a long time. So, lets say you are playing a game and keep failing to pass a certain level, you just throw that battarang out the window. After that, you have to buy another controller. <_< Quote
Neo52285 Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 i just read that the controller is going to be redesigned....that one is just a prototype. Quote
aznman007 Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 why did dualshock sue dony if they used them in the controllers? Quote
KingSupra Posted May 27, 2005 Author Posted May 27, 2005 something about money, like sony didn't pay them enough or something Quote
chiva474128 Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Actually, Dualshock did not sue Sony. A company by the name of Immersion Corporation sued them. They claimed that the DualShock controller's vibrating motor infringed on their copyrights. I believe name "DualShock" trademarked by Sony. Here a link to the story:http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=4558 Quote
