moiselles Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Since many of us are discussing the topic of The Pill and the Depo shot in the "That Time Of The Month" thread, I thought it would be best that birth control got it's own thread. Quote
Sweetpea Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 The depo I don't know but the pill usually ranges from 40-30 dollars depending on the brand..I know the patch costed me about fourty six dollars. Quote
moiselles Posted May 27, 2005 Author Posted May 27, 2005 I get my birth control pills for $15. The pharmacy gave me the same drug, just a different name so it's cheaper. Quote
moiselles Posted May 27, 2005 Author Posted May 27, 2005 Yeah, they used to be $30 when I first got them. But they've been $15 for at least two years now. Quote
Sweetpea Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 I wish mine would go down, but their doctors prescription so I think they are going to be that high for a while. Quote
Acro Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Do you know the implants, that comes under your skin? Quote
Sheyda Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 In Britain you get the birth control pill for free until you're 18, but if you go into full-time education at sixth form college and on to university, you still get it for free. So, I won't be paying for it for another two years. Quote
Sweetpea Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Do you know the implants, that comes under your skin?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yeah I know about it, But I wouldn't want anything like that implanted inside of my arm. I'm happy with the patch and the pill. Lol Quote
Sheyda Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 I've never heard of this implant thing. It sounds scary. Quote
Sweetpea Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 I've never had it, but yeah I don't want anything implanted in my body. Quote
Aeneas Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 i'd be afraid i'd do the pill wrong, like take it at the wrong time, and end up pregnant...so that scares me about the pill. Quote
Acro Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 I've never heard of this implant thing. It sounds scary. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It`s very small and very save. And it works for about 2 years. If I were a woman, I woul talk with my doc about this. Quote

I've been on the pill for three years. Quote
Sweetpea Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 i'd be afraid i'd do the pill wrong, like take it at the wrong time, and end up pregnant...so that scares me about the pill.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>LOL! you can't take the wrong pill they are color coordinated and you have to start with the yellow ones first. Beginning of the week so says the packet. and if you forget to take it, you have to double up take the one you missed plus the next day. Quote
moiselles Posted May 28, 2005 Author Posted May 28, 2005 Yeah, the pills are pretty easy to take. Just have to remember to take them on time. I take mine before I go to bed. But I think most people take them first thing in the morning. Quote
