wickedcrazyness Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 The Vampire Diaries Elena Gilbert has always been a star student; beautiful, popular and involved with school and friends. As the fall semester begins, Elena becomes fascinated with the mysterious new boy in school, Stefan Salvatore, and she has no way of knowing he is a centuries-old vampire. Quote

wickedcrazyness Posted June 8, 2009 Author Posted June 8, 2009 As long as they don't sparkle; I'll watch it I won't be watching it either if that type of crap goes on Quote
Limalicious Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Is this a wanna be twilight show or something? Quote
Ophelia_Immortal Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Oh no. This is a separate book series by a different author it is about vampires though. Quote
wickedcrazyness Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Yeah... and FYI the books were written way before Twilight. Quote
Limalicious Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Oh okay! I love Vampire anything! I hope this will be good! Quote
wickedcrazyness Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 ^YAY! yeah i hope it will be good too Quote
midnight lady Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 As long as they don't sparkle; I'll watch it I won't be watching it either if that type of crap goes on what's wrong with sparkiling vampires? I don't know why but I like Stephenie's vampires :ice cold, stone hard...and I never knew before reading Anne Rice that "earlier" vampires sleep in coffins I always imagined them not-sleeping-creatures and the not blood thing too... But maybe the sparkling thing is a bit exaggerated Anyway, I can't help but think now that Twilight is a cheap copy except the "high school vampire romance" we have "college vampire romance" Quote

But maybe the sparkling thing is a bit exaggerated Anyway, I can't help but think now that Twilight is a cheap copy except the "high school vampire romance" we have "college vampire romance" Nothing is wrong with sparkling vampires. What's wrong is in the movie the "sparkling" effects were terrible! That's the real problem. lol ... I'm thinking in 'New Moon' that will be fixed though. Way bigger budget and better director. I personally think it's hard to be original these days for a writer. There's only so much one can do with a vampire that hasn't been done before. Although some of them (the really good ones with amazing imaginations) manage to pull it off. Quote
midnight lady Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I don't think they'll change the sparkling effect It wouldn't match than with the first one and they're supposed to be a saga, where no hint of directors changes exist (though I know that it's impossible ) yeah...that's true Quote
penny.lane Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 i really enjoyed the books, i'm kinda pissed that they're making a show about it, thoughthat usually ruins it. Quote
