I don't really like their clothes or bras anymore, so I guess if they went under I wouldn't care because I don't really shop there anymore. Does anyone else think their products kinda suck now?

Exactly what I said lmaooo the future of the brand is looking VERY grim, what a shame. I don’t know how they can recover from this but I feel like  more bombshells will be announced soon. A show this year is pointless and tone deaf.

lol to make a vsfs this year without throwing rotten fruit on their faces, they should invite extra XL models, put Dragqueens to model as well or whatever makes them look like ''support for the new era'' 'so Very exaggerated.
VS will not last long these years, basically because people want that from a second to another, all the dynamics change to the ultra liberal and inclusive aspect that they expect.

To be honest, the thing about Russell's book seems so bizarre to me, especially since I think it's unlikely he mentioned paying those girls for their pictures or offered anything from the book? Otherwise they should've drawn a contract and demanded payment before the shoot, even if most of them happened on 'company time', which I'm guessing VS allowed?  

 

Either way, it's silly to get mad about it now, especially if they didn't ask for payment or anything.

I don't think they'll have a VSFS this year and that makes me sad, but I think it would suck if they did do it. The last few years have been awful. I loved 2009-2012, but 2013 and after only had a segment here and there that I liked.

best shows were definitely from the late 90s- 2014. IMO 2014 was the last “good” show. Everything since then has been a mess.

Thanks for writing out your list! I have never watched the early shows, so you listing your favorite segments gives me an idea where to start with the earlier shows. I don't want to watch the whole thing, so I'll just start by watching segments if I can find them. 

and yes, I agree on the shows being a mess, but I would put 2013 in the "omg you are such a mess" category. I HATED that year the most. I actually cringe a little when I think about how bad I thought it was lol. I see you only like one segment from that year lol

Of course! Anytime  I loooove the earlier shows because the Angels and models brought this essence of glamorous untouchable bad bitch energy lol I lived for that, when they didn’t smile or blew kisses and looked so serious, dangerous and sexy. You should def check out the segments I listed on YouTube! they have them all there lol it’s crazy seeing how much the VS show changed within the course of 20 years...it’s insane 
 

tbh I HATED the 2013 show too...Taylor Swift overload imo (she made me hate the show tbh but I don’t mind her at all now) and it just made me cringe from beginning to ending as well. too all over the place, opening segment was cheesy as fuck and the in between segments made my skin crawl from second hand embarrassment. Not my fave year but def not the worst *cough cough* 2009, 2015 and 2016......hell, I’ll even throw in 2017 in there too lmao Parisian Nights was literally the ONLY good thing that year, one of my fave segments ever of the later years and I would’ve included Snow Angels in my list but the song choice (Taylor Swift surprise, surprise) didn’t fit at all and it just seemed wrong? lmao definitely should’ve picked a better song for that segment

They have changed so much! I prefer newer models over older models like Lily, Candice, Behati, Miranda over Gisele, KK, Heidi, Tyra etc, but I will say the models in the earlier shows were much better at walking the runway. I don't like all the kisses and whatnot either. It looks dumb. I just like the models from the later shows better. 

I think i'm the only one who likes 2009. I actually liked Star Trooper even though the outfits sucked, it had a good energy at least. But I LOVE 2010-2011-2012. Those are my all time favorites!

 I think part of that has to do with the models of the older era being more high fashion (with the exception of Tyra and Heidi...hence the cold looks and seriousness) So I kinda agree with you that I prefer the new generation because it was breath of fresh air seeing the likes of Candice, Miranda, Behati, Rosie, Erin, Doutzen etc. my only issue with that era was the lack of diversity, we had like 2-4 models of color out of 30+ white models walking in those shows then compared to like 20+  who walk today and even in the 90s and early 2000s they had a lot of models of color from all walks of life and different ethnicities walk the show but from 2008 to 2013 it was like really white imo lol not that there’s anything wrong with that.
 

I TOLERATE The 2009 show!  def had its moments but that model search took over the whole show that it felt like a reality show tbh. But I loved the music choices and the V shaped stage idea (I know a lot of ppl hated it) but the more I watch, it was clever and practical so the performers wouldn’t interact or get in the way of the models. Star Trooper is def an honorable mention but I just couldn’t get past the AWFUL costumey outfits 😭 but 2009 def had potential to be amazing show if they got rid of that model search thingy, gave Alessandra the FB and change some outfits in the segments.

This is just sad and pathetic. I really miss when VS had events. I would love to see Barbara, Leomie, Josphine, Candice, etc at an event! I miss pictures being posted from events on this thread!

oh yeah the model searched sucked and the winner sucked. 

I also liked the V shaped stage! Yay, I'm not the only one! and yes, Alessandra should've had the FB for sure. She waited way too long for it.

this valentine's day campaign is a joke. the models look amazing but what kind of campaign is that? i don't know if they wanted to keep it simple or they don't have money, but i'm sure they could have made a better one. the last good campaign was 2018, i think? last year's wasn't my cup of tea but it was better than this one

^ I just checked out the VDay collection on the website and a lot of the stuff looks cheap. Thin material, predictable colors, boring designs... I'm disappointed. And side note: i'm sick of all the bondage strap things they keep putting on the bras. Like who ever thought this was a good idea? It looks tacky and cheap.

This company is getting deader by the day. I don't see any signs that they have actually changed or adapted to the market. They aren't using their angels anymore, and they aren't doing what they used to be like. I feel so sorry for the models.
