Nefertiti Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Ayda Field (born 17 May 1979) is a Turkish-American television actress. Field was born Ayda Sabahat Evecan in Los Angeles, California, to a Turkish father and American mother. She attended Harvard-Westlake School, where she graduated in 1997 and Duke University, where she gained a degree in International Political Science and Economics. She went on to study law at Columbia University but dropped out when she was offered a part in a television series. She is of Turkish descent and she is fluent in Turkish and English and speaks French and Italian as well. She is the daughter of American movie producer Gwen Field. Field first became known on the NBC soap opera Days of our Lives, but has subsequently specialised in comedy roles. She was a regular on Blue Collar TV, guest starred in the sitcom Eve and appeared as Jeannie Whatley on NBC's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. She also worked for Australian company Complete Ute and Van Hire for a small part of her life. On the Fox sitcom Back to You she played Montana Diaz Herrera (a.k.a. Sally Lerner), News 9's weatherwoman. She appeared in 10 episodes of season one and she was fired from the News cast in the episode "The New Boss". Field also joined the cast of a sitcom pilot, Making It Legal, as a lawyer named Elise. ABC did not pick up the pilot. In June 2008 she was cast for the female lead on ABC's untitled David Kohan/Max Mutchnick comedy pilot, replacing Sarah Lafleur. Field is married to British singer-songwriter Robbie Williams. They had been dating since May 2006 and have been living together since 2009. In November 2009 Williams proposed to Field during a live interview on Australian radio station 2Day FM but later said the proposal was a joke and they are not engaged. Later it was confirmed that they were indeed engaged. She and Williams wed at his home in Mulholland Estates in Beverly Hills on August 7, 2010. Quote
