IX10N Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I might regret saying this......... but what the hell. The intro to Tip Your Bartender by Glassjaw, which is also the very beginning to their album Worship and Tribute always gets me mega-pumped.Yes I like glassjaw... I truely believe they are a diamond in the extremely gay rough. Quote

Monkey Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Aerosmith - Walk This Way There's a drum intro... Actually, I'm confused in general. It seems like only a few of the songs you guys have mentioned have solo intros, i.e. just the guitarist playing. "Achilles Last Stand" - Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page) "Lateralus" - Tool (Adama Jones) "Stream Of Consciousness" - Dream Theater (John Petrucci) "Welcome Home (Sanitarium) - Metallica (Kirk Hammett & James Hetfield) This is hard... it seems like there aren't that many... Colossal Posted April 7, 2006 Author Posted April 7, 2006 yeah you right about Aerosmith - Walk This Way has a drum intro I wasn't 100% sure about it, but the drum intro is not bad Quote

Qball Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 yeah you right about Aerosmith - Walk This Way has a drum intro I wasn't 100% sure about it, but the drum intro is not badStill, the guitar riff is awesome and, I think, more representative of the song than the drum beat. Quote
Colossal Posted April 7, 2006 Author Posted April 7, 2006 Still, the guitar riff is awesome and, I think, more representative of the song than the drum beat. yes, the guitar riff is the main theme of the song and it rocks Quote

It said guitar intro, not guitar solo's. A guitar intro doesn't require the guitarist to be the only one playing, just the guitar being on the forefront, imho. Quote
Monkey Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 "Wasted Years" - Iron Maiden I can play it too. Well, sort of... Quote
