Kro Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I wanted Mickey Rourke to win soooo bad (but Sean Penn was cool though lol.) But I also must say that it must have been the best Oscar show in a while, that Seth Rogen and James Franco sketch was so funny lmao. Quote
Liz_twilighter Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 If I could vote the best representer, I would vote RPattz! Quote
Qball Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I saw The Wrestler. Good movie. Rourke totally deserved the nomination and he could have gotten the Award as well. Quote
Lkjh Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I know this is a bit early, but I'm excited! Not that much to post yet except the one single confirmed thing, which is the host... Quote "Family Guy" funnyman Seth MacFarlane - whose recent foray into the movie-making world as actor, writer and director, "Ted," was both a box office and critical success - has been tapped by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to host the Oscars on Feb. 24. MacFarlane issued a tongue-in-cheek statement of playful gratitude on the news, saying "It’s truly an overwhelming privilege to be asked to host the Oscars. My thoughts upon hearing the news were, one, I will do my utmost to live up to the high standards set forth by my predecessors; and two, I hope they don’t find out I hosted the Charlie Sheen Roast. cherrybomb Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Trouble with the curve for wild card? love clint......but nahlet's see how good Lincoln is, lincoln is arguably my favorite figure from history... Spielberg is Spielberg but he best not disappoint. Quote
Lkjh Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I wish I could start guessing but there's literally nI single movie I've seen yet Except for Ted, but it'd be a disgrace if that won any Oscars.. I have been following Lincoln (Joe), Django (Leo), and Silver Linings (Bradley AND Jennifer) intensely though. One of those to win some would be great! Les Mis and The Master are also movies I'm looking forward too! Quote
Mickiala Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 No clue who the Guardian is?? But I read somewhere(cant remember where) that Universal is pushing for Hugh Jackman to get a nom. for Best Actor, Anne Hathaway for Best Supporting, and Russell Crowe for Best Supporting Actor. I agree more with that if they follow the book Anne isn't in enough of it to get a Best Actress nod.Just from trailers, Les Mis and Lincoln look great. Not so sure about Seth but he can't be as awful as James Franco was :baronlamesign: Quote
katchitup Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 ^Are you referring to Rise of the Guardians or is there another "Guardian" movie? Quote
katchitup Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 ^Ohh I see I thought Mick was referring to a movie Guardian, not the website Quote
Victoria_Justice Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Wouldnt Hobbit be considered 4 this year ?? Quote
Lkjh Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 ^^ If it's released in time, I'd give it a lot of chance! Quote
Kevork89 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I think Argo has a chance of sweeping through. I watched it and it is fantastic. I think Ben deserves a nom for Director.I've also heard a lot of buzz about Mary Elizabeth Winstead in her new movie called Smashed. They are saying she could come out of nowhere on this one. And I hope so she's a fantastic and underrated actress.I'm looking forward to Silver Linings and Lincoln. And who isn't excited for Django Unchained. Like Inglorious I can see that getting a lot of Academy consideration. Quote
