Joe > Average Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Lets travel back in time to the 00s or the first decade anyway... - - This is a decade that often doesn't get the credit it deserves for having been a distinct decade. It was a world great technological advancements (like others for their time) that resulted in an explosion of social media and computer usage by individuals who would have been considered buffoons just ten years prior. It was a land where everything had a reality show, the role of the singer/model and actress/model was greater than ever, more pop/rap collaborations than ever, teen vampires were unleashed and homophobia was no longer cool. Superhero movies abounded and gaming was suddenly commercial and 'acceptable.' The Toy Story characters, Betty White and Ellen Degenerous were back. Pixar, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Clint Eastwood, Quentin Terrentino and Samuel L. Jackson were pretty much business as usual. If you want one song, you can just download that one song instead of buying a single with some other random extra song. If you want to watch a music video, you don't have to wait for it on a countdown, you can just watch it online. Our resources are dwindling, and the population continues to grow, but technology is awesome and sexism and racism are tolerated less. 'Power couples' with combined names are a big deal and there is 24hour media. Towards the end of the decade, reality shows started to slow down and scripted shows fought back, but reality stayed a powerhouse. Welcome to the 00s everyone . Quote
