Juliette Perkins

post-40197-0-1446152010-65145_thumb.png

Signed by Red 11 Models, the same agency that launched Holly Rose Emery last year, the Nelson native has potential written all over her.

At just 14 – she turns 15 at the end of next month – she is already 5’11” tall.

Scouted by another Red 11 model – Storm Tuvia – she was signed by the agency on Sunday. Her photos have yet to even make it to the Red 11 website.

Although Perkins won’t be doing NZFW, bookings have already commenced. A lookbook for Nom*D is the first cab off the rank, with renowned NZ photographer and talent spotter Karen Inderbitzen-Waller.

Perkins is a second generation model. Her mother modelled under the name of Justine English and was repped by, among other agencies, Cameron’s in Melbourne.

NEW FACES: JULIETTE PERKINS

If you were nearly six foot at the age of 14, you might also consider modelling.

New Zealand Fashion Week starts on Monday (and no, sadly, Frockwriter won’t be attending this year).

Over the past fortnight, we have posted on some of the main Auckland model agencies and their showcard packs for the event, highlighting some of the new faces who will be making their NZFW debuts this year.

One exciting new face who won’t be there, however, is Juliette Perkins.

Signed by Red 11 Models, the same agency that launched Holly Rose Emery last year, the Nelson native has potential written all over her.

At just 14 – she turns 15 at the end of next month – she is already 5’11” tall.

Scouted by another Red 11 model – Storm Tuiva – she was signed by the agency on Sunday.

Perkins has already in fact done some modelling as a child, when she was living with her parents in Spain for a year. The family has also lived in Thailand.

After Anmari Botha and Holly Rose Emery – who we hear is flat out doing castings and go-sees in the leadup to New York Fashion Week, and is shooting “looks” for Jason Wu tomorrow - Red 11 co-founder Amanda Betts is predicting big things for Perkins.

Betts told Frockwriter, “She’s the next bullet out of the Red 11 gun”.

All images: supplied exclusively to Frockwriter by Red 11.

Hair: Bex Brent of Willis York

Location: Willis York, Wellington

Clothing: Zambesi (white top and capri pants, black boots); Kate Sylvester (lace dress, bomber jacket); Nom*D (checked shorts and oversized shirt).
