Cult Icon Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 When I got this figure I couldn't figure out where the haircut came from in the game. It wasn't in hearts of stone. It's Geralts' hair from the prison ending in blood and wine! Quote
Cult Icon Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I bought Geralt Ursine and Triss Alternate costume statues Quote
Cult Icon Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Got the Geralt Ursine statue in the morning. Including taxes it cost me $64 It's pretty much how I imagined it would look like. It's a high quality statue, well made. Mine has a very slight defect on the left cheek, the grey splotch is a little too big. It's not as visually pleasing as the other Geralt statue as Geralt looks like he took a potion, is pasty faced and has an aggressive stance of walking forward. His head unfortunately is tilted more downwards than I would have liked, so the statue looks better if it is placed higher. The headsculpt is why I bought it. When placed with the female statues, it blends in a bit better as Geralt's head is 30% larger than the other Geralt heads. This statue is also 1 cm taller than the other one. The face looks more like the Geralt from the game but also more mean. His head is wider and longer. The statue would have been perfect if they made the physical expression more relaxed, and gave Geralt's face the same non-pasty and more natural paint job as the others, but it is as it is. Quote
Cult Icon Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 The sexy & beautiful Triss statue really surprised me and surpassed my expectations. For some reason they didn't look this good on youtube and in photos. The female face is the best out of all the Witcher women that I collected. Really well done paint job and very delicate with a lot of fine details. It's a worthy statue to approximate Triss in the W3. It also looks like Madison Headrick with red hair. Quote
Cult Icon Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Measured the heights of all the statues I collected so far. The base is 1 1/2 inches. Geralt Ursine : 8 1/2 inches Geralt Original outfit: 8 1/3rd inches Yennefer secondary outfit: 8 1/3th inches Shani: 8 1/3rd inches Triss secondary outfit: 8 1/4th inches Ciri: 7 3/4th inches Quote
Cult Icon Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 bought the Geralt Mandicore Statue. I hope it's taller than 7 3/4th inches it is supposed to be. Quote
Cult Icon Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 So got the Geralt Mandicore statue in the mail. It has its merits but I am slightly disappointed. The statue itself is well made, well painted and Geralt has the nice mandicore grandmaster costume from the game. His face sculpt looks like Geralt from the game and is well painted. I think out of the 3 Geralt statues I have the face itself is the best one. However there are two significant problems with the statue. The hunched posture isn't great and the statue has its good angles and not so good angles. The worst problem is the size and proportions of the statue. It is most out of proportion statue of them all. Geralt looks way too small compared to the female statues and the other Geralt statues. The statue needs to be 30% larger to be in proportion. So sadly it seems that I can't display this with the women. Quote
Cult Icon Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Measured the Geralt Mandicore statue. Standing hunched he measures 7 2/3rds inches however I measured his limbs and it's a more acceptable 9 1/4th-9 1/2 inches. So I guess he isn't that anatomically incorrect, it's just that he's slouching so much that he is shorter than Ciri lol. Quote
Cult Icon Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Got the dandelion statue in the mail. Beautifully painted with a lot of details, like the other figures they look better in person than in photos. There is a nice sheen/gloss to the paint. Extremely well made. Unfortunately he is a bit too big and tall compared to Geralt, especially with the hat. Quote
Cult Icon Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Vesemir and Geralt Tourney armor came out. I bought Geralt Tourney armor. I will probably buy Vesemir but part of me thinks that's it's better to keep him a memory. Quote

Cult Icon Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I received my Geralt Tourney statue in the mail today. Like the other figures it is high quality. The actual head sculpt is probably the most Geralt-like and the best, about as good as the Geralt Ursine statue. The physical dimensions are the most anatomically correct, I measured it and he's about 8 inch 3/4 or 9 inch. Also his head size and shape is larger and more accurate to the character. The armor is well shaped and impressive, and the pose is highly accurate (Igni) to the game. But definitely there are some small issues with it. The painting of the face is a bit off. It looks like Geralt not only has a tan, but a sunburn. The painted details on the face aren't as good as the other statues. This isn't game accurate. Also the aggressive posture is just not that ideal. Out of the 4 Geralt statues, it was the 'Hearts of Stone' figure and the 'Mandicore' statue that had really paint jobs on the face. This one is more flawed than Geralt Ursine. In comparison to the promotional photo, my Geralt was not as well painted. It is important for the figure to have strong contrasts. This Geralt's armor suit is way too dark/black and the Igni flash stands out too much. The checkboard purple undershirt is too dark and so are his pants. So all the fine details get lost in the black armor suit. Overall the paint job on Geralt's body is not up to the standards of Dandelion and the other figures. They could have used more contrast and glossiness on the armor. Another issue is the posture. It is simply not the best posture for a statue. From certain angles Geralt looks awkward, like he is ice skating. If they produced him in a classic standing pose I would love the figure a lot more. Since he is in action pose, his height falls to just 7 3/4th inches. Overall a decent statue with flaws. It is odd that Dark Horse's Witcher collection hit home runs with all their figures except for Geralt. There are small, easily correctable creative choices/flaws on all 4 statues that I have.
