March 23, 20232 yr Got the dandelion statue in the mail. Beautifully painted with a lot of details, like the other figures they look better in person than in photos. There is a nice sheen/gloss to the paint. Extremely well made. Unfortunately he is a bit too big and tall compared to Geralt, especially with the hat.
March 29, 20232 yr Vesemir and Geralt Tourney armor came out. I bought Geralt Tourney armor. I will probably buy Vesemir but part of me thinks that's it's better to keep him a memory.

April 2, 20232 yr I received my Geralt Tourney statue in the mail today. Like the other figures it is high quality. The actual head sculpt is probably the most Geralt-like and the best, about as good as the Geralt Ursine statue. The physical dimensions are the most anatomically correct, I measured it and he's about 8 inch 3/4 or 9 inch. Also his head size and shape is larger and more accurate to the character. The armor is well shaped and impressive, and the pose is highly accurate (Igni) to the game. But definitely there are some small issues with it. The painting of the face is a bit off. It looks like Geralt not only has a tan, but a sunburn. The painted details on the face aren't as good as the other statues. This isn't game accurate. Also the aggressive posture is just not that ideal. Out of the 4 Geralt statues, it was the 'Hearts of Stone' figure and the 'Mandicore' statue that had really paint jobs on the face. This one is more flawed than Geralt Ursine. In comparison to the promotional photo, my Geralt was not as well painted. It is important for the figure to have strong contrasts. This Geralt's armor suit is way too dark/black and the Igni flash stands out too much. The checkboard purple undershirt is too dark and so are his pants. So all the fine details get lost in the black armor suit. Overall the paint job on Geralt's body is not up to the standards of Dandelion and the other figures. They could have used more contrast and glossiness on the armor. Another issue is the posture. It is simply not the best posture for a statue. From certain angles Geralt looks awkward, like he is ice skating. If they produced him in a classic standing pose I would love the figure a lot more. Since he is in action pose, his height falls to just 7 3/4th inches. Overall a decent statue with flaws. It is odd that Dark Horse's Witcher collection hit home runs with all their figures except for Geralt. There are small, easily correctable creative choices/flaws on all 4 statues that I have. April 3, 20232 yr update on the Geralt Figure. I find that when I put it in my sunroom under natural light the figure looks way better and the subtle details of the armor can be seen. So this figure doesn't work so well with low-level indoors lighting but is much better in bright sunlight. The erosion and gloss on the armor plating comes out in these conditions, although geralt still looks like he has a bad sunburn on his face.
April 9, 20232 yr Got the Vesemir figure in the mail. On first glance it is a superb figure of excellent quality. love it. It is the 10th Witcher statue I got, and I think I'm done until Dark Horse does other characters.
April 9, 20232 yr the proportion of the figure matches the OG costume Geralt but less so the other Geralts. His head leans small like the OG Geralt. There is imitation leather on the shoulder armor and metal for the chainmail on the arms, hands, and mail shirt. The face is painted similar to the touissant geralt but in this case it is accurate, as this is how he looks in the game. Overall a good match for the OG Geralt. The height of the figure, without the base is around 8 1/8th inch, not the 8 1/2 inch on the advert. Really good attention to detail, a 10 out of 10 figure.

August 19, 20232 yr I finally purchased a comfortable desk for work. I work online at home and did not have a proper desk to work comfortably, which caused me back pain. My choice was the height adjustable standing desks. Has anyone used one of these? How do you feel? I'm just trying it out, and to be honest it's quite difficult to work standing up, but I've read that it's useful.
February 23, 20241 yr Plus a high quality XLR cable. I tried to resurrect my Samson Q9U, suspecting that it was a USB-electronic problem but it turns out that even with the new audio device the humming noise still continues. I got ripped off of $200 with Samson.

The newer but lower priced Shure MV7X ($192 plus tax) came in the mail, tried and liked it. Used a $20 XLR cable with reinforced wiring to block out electronic interference. It should be just about good enough for general use but it's not perfect. It blocks out sound if one has a loud computer fan on if the gain settings are tinkered with. However the audio is noticably lower than I would like but that can be dealt with post-processing, which is another hassle. I guess compared to the SM7B it is just a smaller and weaker version of it. But it is significantly better than the Samson Q9U which imho is a failed product, unusable in the summer. With the Vocaster the gain can be moved down with the static removed but the audio is way too low and dim, without punch.
