zacvulk Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Hello guys, I am new in this forum. I would like to know If there is a method - protocol to send a letter or gift to a fashion model as a fan. I read that is possible to send stuff to the model / talent agency address. Do you have any suggestions-recommendations for me? I tried to contact her in Instagram many times through DM and in the comments but I realize that is imposible so I decided to search for an strategy in the real world. Thank you for your replies guys. Quote
nightowl Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 "I tried to contact her in Instagram many times through DM and in the comments but I realize that is imposible" I think that tells you what you need to know about whether your gift would be welcome. Quote
Stephanie30 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Sending a letter or gift to a fashion model can be pretty straightforward. First, you’ll want to ensure you have the correct address—often, you can find this info on their official social media profiles or websites. Quote

And if you’re thinking of sending a gift, like a custom hawaiian shirt, it’s best to keep it personal and unique. Fashion models often appreciate things that show thought and effort. Ensure the gift isn’t too extravagant or over-the-top; a well-chosen item that reflects their style or interests is always a win. As for the letter, keep it friendly and genuine. Models get tons of messages, so a heartfelt note that’s sincere and not just flattery stands out. Mention why you admire them and how they’ve inspired you—it makes your message more memorable. Quote
Joshua236 Posted September 26 Posted September 26 You can send a letter or gift to the modeling agency's address. Find out about the agency on their website and write a short, admiring letter. Be sure to address it correctly and wait patiently for a response! retro bowl Quote

I've sent several times compliments (and only compliments) to models on Instagram, and managed to get replies or "likes". I prefer to send my messages commenting pictures or stories ; I avoid the DMs (it's difficult to get a reply to them, probably because there are full of spams, even within "ordinary people" accounts). I've nearly no experience for the other cases (models without such an account), I've only sent an e-mail to an agency in order to compliment a model a few days ago, I'm still waiting for a response yet (but it seems to look normal so I haven't to worry so much...). However I don't know if she's still in contract with this agency, and what are the standards / protocols used by the agencies when it comes about the work of their past models (and obviously about the fan mail that regards them). I've got another question : what happens if the model is known to have worked for 2 or more agencies (it seems to be actually the case, for the model I try to contact)? Is it better to write to only one agency, or to each one (obviously I don't want to look over-insistent with my mails). Edited September 28 by Summity Precisions in my reply Quote
